I’ve walked this creek countless times, but on that first morning, the place seemed touched by something rare and fleeting—light, color, and vitality all joining together in a single moment. I knew I had to try to capture that beauty before it slipped away.
This painting is more than a landscape to me; it’s a memory of wonder, a reminder of how nature can surprise you even when you think you know it well. Later, when I offered my best patron the choice of any painting, she chose this one without hesitation.
